Today I was back training. We learn new task and was great at the old task.  This is my last week hear.  I will be flying home with Ginger.

Another sick day!!!!!!! I hope I get better this weekend.  One more week to go.

Today I was not feeling well.  My Ginger spend the day with me.

March 11,

The training is at the mall today.  Five veterans, with five dogs and our trainers and their own dogs. I went in and out of the stores with my Ginger.  Some of the shoppers were very kind and ask our trainers questions. Some shoppers were very not very nice.

March 10,

Today was a very informative day.  I was educated on the health of my dog,  and what my responsibilities are to keeping her that way.  I was informed on the laws for having a service dog.  My dog Ginger is hearing only my voice.  She is listening to me and performing the task I tell her.  Awesome change, with great responsibility.

March 9,

It is Monday a new week. A new training, the owner....he trained dogs for the wars.  Ginger and I did well in Target.  We walked around the store with her not touching anything...even in the grocery section.  I was extremely tired.

March 8,

Great volunteers have fed us well.  It is wonderful to see the other volunteers who are outside caring for the dogs in the kennel.  These dogs will be trained and ready for more veterans. People who have made a commitment to say they are going to show up and they actually do.

March 7,

It is Saturday! It is snowing in Virginia, and raining in Florida. We are not training this weekend and we are not allowed to leave the training site.  My dog went to the doctor today. I am very sad!!!!

March 6,

I am the reason that we have no training today, my baby is not well. There are five women and five dogs, all of us women are from different backgrounds and all five dogs are different breeds. The most amazing thing to watch is the beginning connection between dogs and vets.

March 5,

It is very cold in the mornings, yes in Florida. It should be an excited day learning the new commands  for dog Ginger. My day was spent marching up and down the park getting to know this partner of mind.  Oh Boy!!!!!! my dog ate something and got sick.  I now taking care of a baby and a baby that loves me.  It is great!!!!!

The days are long, at 9:30am we are in a van headed to the park. More training and more training.  I bragged about Ginger jumping on the bed saying hello to me.  More new words, also remming the previous words. She showed me how to get her is the van. This is hard work and it is so rewarding. She is staring to get me!!!!!!

Not much sleep, new bed, new place.  Today is the day that I will meet my dog.  I am receiving lots of instructions on what is required.  It is great to see how much volunteers help to take care of the dogs and the veterans.  After lunch I was introduced to my dog "Ginger".
